“A Life Less Ordinary” is the theme of the next Pure London, to be held from 24 to 26 July, where South American colours and patterns shall dominate. Three companies are travelling from Portugal - Blackspider - Cristina Barros - Effusive - supported by Selectiva Moda Association, as part of the international project "From Portugal".

The next Pure London will take place at Olympia in London, and will reflect the celebration of culture from around the world. Three Portuguese brands will be present at the show - Blackspider Cristina BarrosEffusive – who will give more life and colour to this edition of the event. The Portuguese companies are integrated in an initiative of Selectiva Moda Association as part of the From Portugal internationalisation project.

Cristina Barros will exhibit at Pure London again, unveiling the new items of the Summer 2017 collection. The highlights are fluid dresses with bright colours as well as the line of dresses that can be worn for more festive occasions or for everyday use, and the already renowned line of women's jeans, where comfort and quality are the watchword. «This market is chosen following the implementation of the brand in the countries that make up the United Kingdom and Ireland, since the fair's visitors are mostly from those countries», explains Marco Costa. «We have high expectations, since we have had extremely positive feedback from our current customers, who we want to keep», he added.

Dresses and fluid tops with colourful patterns, more elegant dresses with noble details and materials are the highlights of the collection of the debutant Effusive. «We are heavily focusing on the internationalisation of the Effusive brand. Since Pure London is a renowned fair, visited not only by British buyers but also by buyers from other European countries, we think it makes total sense that we are present», said Suzy Faria, of the company's sales management. «Our main objectives are to publicise the brand in the UK and the rest of Europe, acquire new customers in foreign markets and establish partnerships and attract new stakeholders to our project», she added.

Fashion shows, seminars and workshops are some of the activities that will take place at the next edition of Pure London, where about 800 brands will be present.

The participation of 3 Portuguese companies in another Pure London event is organised by From Portugal 2015-2016, an initiative promoted by Selectiva Moda Association and by ATP – Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal (Association of Textiles and Clothing of Portugal), which aims to promote the internationalisation of Portuguese companies in the fashion area. The From Portugal 2015-2016 project is financed by Portugal 2020, under Compete 2020 - Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation. The value of eligible support totals EUR 13,051,072.83 of which EUR 7,210,717.74 are provided by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
