BALTIC HOSTS PORTUGUESE TEXTILES

Jalima Malhas - Lipaco - TeamStone - are the three Portuguese companies attending “Baltic Fashion & Textile Vilnius”, which takes place from the 15th to 17th October in the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre LITEXPO. The Portuguese participation in this event is supported by the Selectiva Moda Association, within the internationalisation project From Portugal.

Jalima Malhas - Lipaco - TeamStone - are the three Portuguese companies attending “Baltic Fashion & Textile Vilnius”, which takes place from the 15th to 17th October in the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre LITEXPO. The Portuguese participation in this event is supported by the Selectiva Moda Association, within the internationalisation project From Portugal.

Three Portuguese companies will be attending Baltic Fashion & Textile Vilnius, which takes place from the 15th to 17th October in the Lithuania's capital. Jalima MalhasLipaco - TeamStone – shall be in the Lithuanian capital, exhibiting to the market the best of yarn, homewear and knitwear, with the made-in Portugal stamp.

Jalima Malhas, a specialist in knitwear, is debuting in Lithuania. Jackards and structured knitwear are the stand out products, as well as the quality finishes. «Our main goals are to show our work in new markets and provide continuity to our internationalisation process», states Luís Lima. 

Sewing threads for the mattress and duvet industry and polyamides for the sock industry are the stand out products exhibited by Lipaco, which regularly attends this fair. «This is a market where we are strongly positioned and this fair allows us to see and talk to a number of customers of the Baltic region, from different sectors. At this year's fair we aim to continue the work of marketing our products and developing market loyalty for our products, brands and strengthen our position in new sectors», explains Jorge Pereira, the company's CEO. 

Teamstone is debuting at this fair, and it will take its Claire by Teamstone brand to the Baltic. The stand out exhibits will be the Design Nature collection for home textiles and Claire by Teamstone in homewear. «The Portugal 2020 platforms available open the door to more distant markets for us. Internationalisation has been the main focus of TeamStone since its incorporation. The strategic proximity of this fair to the surrounding Nordic markets makes it an asset for expanding into those markets. At this Baltic Fashion & Textile Vilnius 2015, we aim to exhibit our products and attract interest and new customers», explains Dina Alemão, manager of the company.

"Baltic Fashion & Textile Vilnius", which is in its 24th edition, is considered to be one of the best meeting points for the fashion and textile industry professionals. This event has a very favourable geographical location and is a gateway to the markets of countries such as: Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Latvia and Estonia.

The participation of the three Portuguese companies in one more Baltic Fashion & Textile Vilnius edition is an initiative promoted by the Selectiva Moda Association, co-financed by the EU Structural and Investment Funds as part of the Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation (POCI), Portugal 2020 and COMPETE 2020. The FROM PORTUGAL project is made up of approximately 81 international activities which take place in the second half of 2015 and in 2016, covering the entire textile and fashion industry and spread over four continents, with a total investment of over 13 million euros.
