Three Portuguese companies take to the German city of Cologne, from 10 to 13 September, the main fashions of the children’s made-in Portugal universe, under the From Portugal internationalisation project, an initiative of the Selectiva Moda Association.

Attending the fair for the third year running, Beppi Kids is presenting its Spring/Summer 2016 collection, which focuses on comfort and high-quality materials. "We chose Kind+Jugend to present our collection because it is the biggest fair in the baby and kids' clothing sector and because it takes place in Germany, which is like a 'gateway' for customers from practically every part of the world", explains Hugo Silva, the company's export sales manager. "We have high expectations with regard to our participation and hope to win new customers from new countries", he adds.

The new Piriuki Easy product will be the highlight of the collection exhibited by Piriuki/Eological Kids at Kind+Jugend. «This model will allow us to meet the needs of all types of parents who want to use reusable nappies. In addition to nappies, our brand has also grown beyond this market and is increasingly labelled as an eco-brand for babies. We shall also present cotton carrier slings/cloths at this fair as well as the new collection of maternity articles» states Rossana Amador, the company's export manager. The brand considers its participation to be extremely important, «this is Europe's most prestigious baby fair, and it goes beyond baby and children's wear to encompass a panoply of light and heavy baby and childcare articles, attracting the world's main players. This fair, located in the centre of Europe, is a means for us to show we are present and to present ourselves to all potential customers», she adds.

Carjor takes its range of baby and children's knitwear, made with the finest yarns.

The 2015 Kind+Jugend fair promises to provide good deals! An exhibition area of around 100,000 m2 with over 1000 exhibitors from all over the world and about 20,000 visitors from 110 countries, seem to be the necessary ingredients for a successful event.

The participation of the three Portuguese companies in one more Kind+Jugend edition is an initiative promoted by the Selectiva Moda Association, co-financed by the EU Structural and Investment Funds as part of the Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation (POCI), Portugal 2020 and COMPETE 2020. The FROM PORTUGAL project is made up of approximately 81 international activities which take place in the second half of 2015 and in 2016, covering the entire textile and fashion industry and spread over four continents, with a total investment of over 13 million euros.
