Portugal once again exhibits in the U.S.A. Five Portuguese companies are betting to win at Magic Market Week!
Boom Bap – Fiorima - Kalisson/Bagoraz – Katty Xiomara - Pé de Chumbo – are the 5 companies of the Portuguese delegation that will travel to the gambling capital, supported by the Associação Selectiva Moda.

The made-in Portugal delegation comprises five companies - Boom Bap – Fiorima - Kalisson/Bagoraz – Katty Xiomara - Pé de Chumbo – that will exhibit in different areas. The exhibiting of Portuguese companies at this trade event is an initiative organized by the Associação Selectiva Moda association, with the support from Compete and QREN, forming part of the From Portugal internationalization project.
The companies Kalisson/Bagoraz and Fiorima will be located in the WWD Magic exhibition area of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Kalisson/Bagoraz, newcomers to this market, are brands brought to Vegas by the Givec company. They will exhibit at this fair a collection that is designed for the active and elegant woman with an identity all of her own. Of note is the precision of the cut, clean lines and sophistication. A mixture of influences, cultures, and the fusion of tradition with modernity is evident.
After a short break, Fiorima returns to this stage, bringing its brands of modern and stylish socks designed with top quality raw materials, which makes them comfortable and fashionable at the same time. Of note are the DERMAGOLD socks – which are socks with moisturizing, anti-aging and anti-oxidant properties.
Boom Bap, Katty Xiomara and Pé de Chumbo will exhibit at Mandalay Bay, in the Project and Project MVMNT segments.
Boom Bap, exhibiting at Project MVMNT, is a habitual presence in this market. It presents a winter 2013 collection under the motto "Cold Like Your Girlfriend Heart”, with graphics inspired by the 1980s. The highlight is the presentation of new jewelry line.
Katty Xiomara, a repeat act at this trade fair, is upbeat and positive. “Expectations are always high. We want to find a faster and more reliable way to get to the U.S. customer" says Katty Xiomara. She presents a collection inspired by the interpretation of new forms of urban art, with the traditional Portuguese roof tile serving as a canvas. “It is an artist’s collection. We try to display the products with the greatest sales potential” explains Katty Xiomara.
Pé de Chumbo is another debutant in this market. It exhibits a collection of casual chic for Winter 2013/14. The collection is designed with fabrics developed by the designer and manually worked with wool yarn. Stripes and plaid dominate, contrasting with the chiffon and organza.

Magic Market Week, with a total of 80 years experience, continues to permanently evolve. It has two annual fairs that bring together about 5000 brands from over 80 countries for three days of intensive business.

The participation of the Portuguese companies at Magic Market Week is an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda with the support from Compete and QREN, inserted in the project From Portugal. Associação Selectiva Moda is an entity which promotes the internationalization of Portuguese companies and counts, in 2013, with a program of international actions in 35 distinct markets, targeting the areas of threads, tissues and accessorize, fashion, home textiles and technical textiles.
