PORTUGAL: TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION IN ISPO

“Portuguese Sport Textile Village” is the motto for the presentation of the Portuguese delegation which will be present on the next edition of ISPO Munich, from the 3rd to the 6th February. Eight Portuguese companies integrated in the internationalization project From Portugal, implemented by Associação Selectiva Moda, show in Munich the best of what is produced in Portugal in this textile segment which is in permanent development and expansion.

The Portuguese committee welcomes all visitors and exhibitors of ISPO Munich by organizing a Cocktail Party which will be held in the Portuguese Sport Textile Village (Stand C2-341) on the 5th February at 17:30. You will be able to taste a Port Wine Tonic and get to know the latest innovations made-in Portugal taken by the residents.

Selectiva Moda counts with CITEVE, its partner, to organize the Portuguese participation where the Thermal Keeper© certification will be presented. This certification aims to guarantee the thermic performance of the products.
Technology and innovation are the common characteristics of all the products taken by the eight Portuguese companies which mark their presence on the next edition of ISPO Munich. Brandbias – Fiorima – Heliotextil – Lma - Malhas Cef – O Segredo do Mar – P&R Têxteis – Technosocks are the companies which make part of the Portuguese delegation present in Munich, integrated in the internationalization project From Portugal.

The debut BrandBias presents the brands Lemon Jack, a casual clothes brand targeted to outdoor and Sports Friend, sports clothing mainly produced with technical fabrics and specific characteristics (dry clim, gesdry, microfresh) which allow comfort and commodity in the sports practice. «It’s a fair we usually visit because it is suitable to our niche market, which is outdoor and sports. With this participation we intend to get closer to the market and establish new contacts and find distributors to our brand», explains Gonçalo Serra, the company’s General Manager.
Technosocks is another debut in this fair, «We are counting on taking advantage of this opportunity to show the world the best of what we make in Portugal in a global economy scale. Besides, this fair is also very useful to make an assessment of the offer of products which compete with ours and thus evaluate our ‘performance», explains Gaspar Coutinho, the company’s General Manager. The collection of technical socks for several sport activities, many of which having gradual compression techniques, will be in exhibition in this fair. The highlight goes to the BB-Vein technology elected to the Top 10 of the innovative products present in ISPO, «…we have no doubts it will cause sensation by its ability to help in the recovery of athletes who have suffered sports traumas», mentions Gaspar Coutinho, the company’s General Manager.

Among the more than 180 products and the 45 companies from the entire world which were in competition to integrate ISPO Textrends Forum (ISPO’s highlight ) Portugal has managed to place products from three brands – Barcelcom-Technosocks, Lma and P&R Têxteis - due to its quality, innovation and know-how.
