INTERGIFT WELCOMES FOUR PORTUGUESE HOME TEXTILE COMPANIES

Dilina Têxteis, Joafil, Rio Sul and Têxteis Íris are the four companies from the FROM PORTUGAL delegation to participate in another edition of Intergift to be held from the 13th to the 17th of September in Madrid.

Participating in Intergift for the fourth time, it is with the usual remarkable expectations that Joafil returns to the event that takes on a prominent place in the internationalization plan. “The expectation of any exhibitor, at any fair, is that it will be a success in terms of professional visitors, of course, and that this success will translate into a greater variety of countries and customers, as it opens up more business expectations in more varied market niches”, says Rui Dias, the brand’s commercial director.

Concerning the novelties in Madrid, the commercial director highlights the bed sets “working even more on medium and medium-high quality: starting from 200 percale threads up to 600 satin threads. We are betting on national finishes with OEKO-TEX certification and more sustainable yarns in productive terms for the environment. We will also present novelties in bath towels and certified cotton bedspreads”, concludes.

Always following market trends, Dilina Têxteis, now a regular, returns to the event where it has participated for almost thirty years. “This year will be the 28th year, so the 56th edition we do of Intergift. We have several customers, but we feel that every year some disappear and others appear”, reveals António Dias.

Among the novelties at the Dilina Têxteis stand, which is already a reference for Spanish buyers, are “new models for making duvet bags and sheets, as well as new solutions for linen fabrics”.

Also already a heavyweight in Intergift participation, present since 2008, Rio Sul confesses that it hopes to see regular customers and develop new contacts. “We have had good results over the years, and that is why we keep our expectations high”, reveals Joana Correia.

The participation of Portuguese SMEs in INTERGIFT is an initiative of Selectiva Moda and ATP - Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the textile sector. This fair is in the From Portugal project, within the scope of the application presented to the Portugal 2030 joint internationalization projects.
