A HAND FULL OF PORTUGUESE COMPANIES TRAVEL TO THE PREMIÈRE VISION NEW YORK

Brito & Knitting, Crispim Abreu, Familitex, Lemar, and Bold Design are the companies from the FROM PORTUGAL committee to participate in yet another edition of Première Vision New York to be held from the 18th to the 19th of July in the United States of America.

The Atlantic may be a distant element, but the truth is that commercial relations between the Portuguese and the Americans are increasingly solid. A good example is Familitex which, participating for the third consecutive time in PV NY, considers “the feedback and interaction with the market very positive”. Describes Ana Araújo considering that “arguing about our fabrics and all their particularities in person is the best tool/strategy for disseminating the collection”.

For this purpose, Familitex will take to New York “the 100% PREMIUM collection, with three differentiating knits, 100% cashmere, 100% silk, and 100% wool. In the sustainability area, we present our RE-USE brand to the market, a capsule collection made of 100% recycled cotton knits”, adds.

Also returning is Lemar, which with its presence at this event seeks to “enhance the positioning of the Lemar brand in the US and thereby reach new customers”, explains Rita Fonseca. “In a commercial culture as pragmatic as that of the USA, where mastery of product and process engineering is fundamental, we focus our offer on fabrics with innovative and sustainable fibers that allow us to generate more added value through differentiation and performance”, concludes the person responsible for the American market.

Making its absolute debut at Première Vision New York is Bold Design, a textile design studio created about two years ago. “This year, we are participating in several international fairs, integrating a world circuit with other textile design studios with great experience and decades of history”, says Jorge Ballester. “Acceptance has been good, and expectations for New York are also the best: we want to show who we are, assert our value, and prove that we have capabilities across borders”, defends.

The participation of Portuguese SMEs in PREMIÈRE VISION NEW YORK is an initiative of Selectiva Moda and ATP - Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the textile sector. This fair is included in the From Portugal project, within the scope of the application submitted to the Portugal 2030 joint internationalization projects.
