JAPAN WELCOMES PORTUGUESE QUARTET

Carvalho, Galhispo, Herdmar, and Villafelpos are the brands of the FROM PORTUGAL entourage to participate in another edition of Interior Lifestyle Tokyo to be held from June 14th to 16th in Tokyo, Japan.

It is the long-awaited return of the Japanese fair, which will this edition marked by the return of Portuguese and European companies to the event since the period of the covid-19 pandemic. Dedicated to decoration and lifestyle, Interior Lifestyle Tokyo is a trade show that welcomes buyers worldwide.

Confident of an encouraging return to Tokyo is the home textile company Carvalho, which participated in the event for approximately six years. “We don't go since 2019. By so, we're curious to see how the market is doing”, says Tiago Lopes. “It is always an interesting market. They are premium customers who value the quality of our products”, adds, noting that Carvalho will present new jacquards and the reinforcement of sustainable lines.

Making its debut at Interior Lifestyle Tokyo is the emotional design brand Nosse Ceramics, which combines ceramics with 100% recycled glass. “Although the brand was only born in 2020, we are already represented all over Europe, from traditional to Nordic markets, USA, China, Saudi Arabia, and we also have a small one in Japan”, reveals Stephanie Galhispo. The Portuguese brand will take the UBONTO range to Tokyo, produced with exclusive and 100% recycled glass, already distinguished with two international design awards. “We hope to conquer another Japan”, suggests.

Venturing into the Japanese market for the first time is the home textile company Villafelpos whose main objective is to make you known in this first participation in Interior Lifestyle Tokyo. “We want to understand the market, get to know potential distributors and agents, and, of course, make known our diversity of products”, advances Cristina Galvão.

The participation of Portuguese SME companies in the Première Interior Lifestyle Tokyo is an initiative of Selectiva Moda and ATP – Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the Textile sector. This fair is included in the “From Portugal” project, within the scope of the application submitted to the joint projects for the Internationalization of Portugal 2030.
