PORTUGUESE FABRICS INVADE LONDON

There will be fourteen Portuguese companies at the first annual edition of The London Textile Fair – Arco Têxteis – Burel Factory – Celostecelagem – Idepa – Imprimis by Gulbena – Lemar – LMA – alitecno® – NGS Malhas – Riopele – Texser – Teviz by Polopique – TMG Textiles – Troficolor – Vilarinho – which will participate in this event with the support of the Selectiva Moda Association, as part of the From Portugal internationalisation project.

The first annual edition of The London Textile Fair will take place for two days on 22 and 23 January, presenting the collections of more than 250 exhibitors, among them fourteen from Portugal who promise that people will be amazed at the innovation and quality that characterise Made-In Portugal. 

Arco Têxteis – Burel Factory – Celostecelagem – Idepa – Imprimis by Gulbena – Lemar –LMA – alitecno® – NGS Malhas – Riopele – Texser – Teviz by Polopique – TMG Textiles – Troficolor – Vilarinho – are the fourteen Portuguese companies that will be travelling to London, for an initiative promoted by the Selectiva Moda Association. They will be featuring the main trends for Spring/Summer 2015.

Making its debut at this fair, Celostecelagem believes that London is a very attractive market. «The choice of this fair to exhibit our products is due to the fact that London is a city that attracts not only professional makers, but also the creators of all the currents and trends, as well as experts from various fields of business», Luís Barbosa, the company's director, explained. The focus will be on products for this season, but also knitwear developed with interesting raw materials and structures for the transition of the seasons. «We are setting out for this fair motivated by the opinion we formed at the visit we made to the previous edition and also by the views we gathered from other exhibitors», he added.

The participation of Portuguese companies in The London Textile Fair is an initiative promoted by the Selectiva Moda Association with the support of EU funds (NSRF), under the project From Portugal, and is part of a series of more than 65 international activities planned for 2014, covering the entire textile and fashion sector, spread over four continents - Europe, Asia, Africa and America - with a total investment of 9 million euros.
