A Portuguese fleet of five companies - AMR Portugal Home - Barreiros&Barreiros - Homania - Letheshome by Vianatece - Têxteis Íris - is setting out for the lands of Vera Cruz to take part in another edition of the Têxtil House Fair, from 17-21 August, and to conquer the Brazilian market. Their participation is an initiative of the Associação Selectiva Moda, part of the From Portugal internationalization project, with the support of the NSRF and COMPETE.

The five Portuguese exhibitors will be attending the 4th edition of the Têxtil House Fair, from 17 to 21 august, taking with them to São Paulo the key trends made-in Portugal for "dressing" the home.

AMR-Portugal Home will present a wide range of exquisite bedding, highlighting the Portugal Home and Mia Zarroco collections, composed of jacquard, quilted and stone wash bed linen, with delicate embroidery designs specially conceived to create refined environments full of comfort and style.

Barreiros&Barreiros, which specializes in decorative fabrics and wallpapers, will show the originality, innovation, charm and elegance of the Elitis, Zimmer+Rohne, Comersan and Evo brands at the Têxtil House Fair.

The Homania brand, represented by A. Ferreira & Filhos, will once again attend the fair. «This is the third time we will be present in the Têxtil House Fair, a trade show that, with the rise of the social classes and a growing GDP, has great potential. A country with nearly 200 million people cannot be ignored», says Noël Ferreira, the company's Commercial Director. The emphasis will be on the collection of throws and cushions, inspired by the Brazilian lifestyle, for which the most recent home knitting stitches and techniques have been applied.

Letheshome by Vianatece is also attending the event for the third time, and will display an extensive collection, particularly emphasizing bed linen with the new Butterfly Embroidery duvet cover, and also presenting two new colors for the Tartufo model: green and yellow, the colors of the Brazilian flag. «The choice of this market follows on the company's strategy, which aims to establish and strengthen relations with the Brazilian and also the South American market. These are very attractive markets for quality consumers» says Sérgio Peixoto, Director of Vianatece.

Têxteis Íris is returning to S. Paulo to present its main trends, focusing mainly on the dining table and the bedroom. With regard to "dressing" the table, the highlight is on the use of genuine damask linen techniques that make it light and soft; and the rediscovery of old embroidery, creating a line of monogrammed tablecloths and other dream designs as well as a wide variety of products for the kitchen. In the bedroom, it will present a wide range of options from terry cloth sets coordinated with sheets, and embroidered sheets, to countless details incorporated into vanity cases, jewelry boxes and much more.

The 4th edition of the Têxtil House Fair will deal with household textiles for the Spring-Summer, and will take place from 18 to 21 August 2013, in the West Pavilion of Anhembi Park in São Paulo, the most traditional events center in the country. The major exhibitors are once again returning to the fair, confirming the Têxtil House Fair as Brazil’s most important professional trade show for the textile sector in the calendar.

The participation of Portuguese companies in Têxtil House Fair is an initiative of Selectiva Moda Association, with support from Compete and NSRF, as part of the From Portugal project. Selectiva Moda is an association that promotes the internationalisation of Portuguese companies and for 2013 it has a programme of international actions in 35 different markets, aimed at the areas of yarns, fabrics and accessories, fashion, home textiles and decoration and technical textiles.
