The textile industry world will be meeting from 2 to 4 July in Berlin. Two Made-In Portugal brands – V!TOR and Lightning Bolt – will be arriving at Airport Berlin-Tempelhof to take part in Bread & Butter Berlin. The presence of these Portuguese brands at the event is supported by the Selectiva Moda Association, under the From Portugal internationalisation project, with the support of Compete (Competitiveness Factors Operational Programme) and NSRF (National Strategic Reference Framework).

A familiar visitor to Berlin, Lightning Bolt has answered the call and will be present at Bread & Butter once again. A brand that represents the true spirit of surfing that has influenced some of the most iconic styles over the last hundred years. In Berlin it will be presenting a collection designed for a surfer lifestyle – practical, relaxed and adventurous. A brand looking to be a source of inspiration and a way of life.

The brand V!tor is making its debut at this event. V!tor is a brand of exclusive streetwear, with a unique and personal language. It will be taking to Berlin a quality product that is locally produced and, in this case of crochets, hand-crafted, without ever losing what makes the brand unique. “This participation in Bread & Butter Berlin is due to our intention of officially launching the brand in the international fashion market, as this is one of the best platforms for this”, explains Luísa Cativo, the company's creative. “The aim is to show the best that is being made in Portugal at various levels: design, production and illustration. This collection is not just another development within the world of the brand, but also demonstrates that this world and the brand itself are the a reflection of the generation to which we belong and this generation can succeed despite every obstacle”, she adds.

Bread & Butter Berlin brings together approx. 600 exhibitors from the sectors of Denim, Sportswear, Street Fashion, Function Wear and Casual Dressed Up. It has a portfolio of exclusive brands and enjoys recognition from the European and global textile industry, which has grown and established itself over the last ten years. This event is a meeting point for brands, buyers, press representatives and the whole textile industry.

The participation of Portuguese companies in Bread & Butter Berlin is an initiative of Selectiva Moda Association, with support from Compete and NSRF, as part of the From Portugal project. Selectiva Moda is an association that promotes the internationalisation of Portuguese companies and for 2013 it has a programme of international actions in 35 different markets, aimed at the areas of yarns, fabrics and accessories, fashion, home textiles and decoration and technical textiles.
