Dilina Têxteis, Irina & Sousa, Rio Sul, and Têxteis Evaristo Sampaio are the companies from the FROM PORTUGAL delegation to participate in another edition of INTERGIFT to be held from September 14th to 18th, at IFEMA, in Madrid, Spain.

Joining the Madrid decoration and home textiles event in 1996, Dilina Têxteis already has 54 participation in Intergift. “It has been a good opportunity to see our customers and show new products. The first Intergift fair of this year 2022 went very well, and generally, the fair in September is better”, considers António Dinis, the Commercial Director. As for novelties, Dilina Têxteis will present “duvet bags in dyed linen, fabric for sheets in 180, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 threads in percale and satin and low-twist and jacquard terry towels”, adds António Dinis for whom the Spanish market continues to be the principal market.

Also already a heavyweight in the Intergift participation, Rio Sul, which has been present at the event since 2008, confesses that the same edition went well above expectations. “We had good results with the fair, even superior to the last pre-pandemic editions”, reveals - for this reason - Joana Correia, Product and Purchasing Director, is confident with the next edition of the Madrid fair. With good feedback from Spanish customers, with whom they already have several meetings scheduled, and with the expectation of finding potential buyers from other markets, Rio Sul will present some novelties at Intergift, namely bedding products, such as bedspreads and duvets.

After passing through Heimtextil, the iTechstyle Green Circle showcase will have a new stage at Intergift. The iTechstyle Green Circle is an innovation showcase organized by CITEVE and Selectiva Moda dedicated to fashion and uses only raw materials with relevant content in terms of sustainability and/or circular economy (fibers, yarns, threads, ropes, and similars; fabrics, knits, nonwovens, and other textile structures; garments, home textiles or other made-up products/components).

The participation of Portuguese SMEs in INTERGIFT is an initiative of Selectiva Moda and ATP – Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the fashion area. The “From Portugal” project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, within the scope of Compete 2020 - Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization and Lisbon 2020 - Lisbon Regional Operational Program, with an eligible support amount of €6,648,794.78, of which €3,735,305.80 come from the European Union, through the European Regional Development Fund.
