The "From Portugal" entourage’s debut at Denim Première Vision is just another proof that the Portuguese denim is internationally appreciated. At the London fair, scheduled for December 5th and 6th, the Portuguese companies are preparing to showcase their novelties and win new customers.

Crafil, Lisama and Troficolor make up the Portuguese delegation that will be in the UK under the Associação Selectiva Moda’s "From Portugal" project. In the event, before an audience of thousands of visitors, Portuguese companies are preparing to present their new collections for next year.

"This fair is an international landmark in the Denim garment sector" explains Abraão Fertuzinhos, Lisama’s manager, about the decision to participate in the fair. In London, the companies will present a collection based on two prerequisites – technology and sustainability – with which expects to win new customers, especially in the Nordic markets, where they find greater demand for their range of product.

Troficolor, on the other hand, is essentially focused on the British market. "Despite all the Brexit uncertainties, the UK is a market that already has some importance for our company and we want to keep it that way", says Patrícia Magalhães, Troficolor’s Head of International Business. Specialized in denim and with a well-established international presence, Troficolor departs for England with high hopes of increasing its turnover.

Focused on the yarn market, Crafil hopes to find in London new horizons for its internationalization project. With a long tradition in denim, the company has focused on sustainable products such as Denimfil Eco, a yarn created from recycled raw materials.

The Portuguese companies participation in Denim Première Vision is an initiative of Selectiva Moda and ATP - Textile and Clothing Association of Portugal, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese fashion companies. The project “From Portugal” is co-financed by Portugal 2020, under Compete 2020 - Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization, with an eligible support amount of € 12,118,285.17, of which € 6,695,352.55 comes through the European Regional Development Fund.
