PORTUGUESE COMMITTEE IS ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT MAGIC LAS VEGAS
Aspecto Homme, Bamburi, Barata e Garcia, Benjamins Club, Brito e Miranda, Fepratex, J.Caetano, Marita Moreno and Red House are the companies that make up the FROM PORTUGAL delegation to be present at yet another edition of Magic Las Vegas / Sourcing at Magic on August 7th to 10th, in the city of Las Vegas.
Participating for the first time in the event, Fepratex is enthusiastic about the decision it has taken “We are talking about one of the most prestigious fairs in our field at a global level. And after a long wait due to Covid, I think it is the ideal time to go there to present our products”, says Davy Fernandes, from the company's commercial department. With a strong focus on sustainable products, namely “organic, recycled, and traditional cotton with unusual finishes”, Fepratex believes it will be an asset to the North American market.
After their first successful participation, the sustainable brand Marita Moreno travels to Las Vegas with good prospects again. “We expect a more positive response than what we have had in Europe – at this moment with the problems in post-covid Europe and the War in Ukraine - we feel that stores are afraid to bet on new or different brands. In the US, we feel that difference and sustainability are a very positive factor for purchasing products”, says Pedro Marinho, sales director of the brand that, in addition to the North American market, hopes to find Canadian customers. Regarding the collection, the sustainable accessories brand will present “new shapes in comfortable boots, shoes, sneakers, and sandals made from sustainable materials. Cork, pinatex, recycled vegan microfiber, rubber, corn, and other new technological materials are crossed with straws handmade by Portuguese artisans”, says the sales director of Marita Moreno. The brand will present a new design on shoes and a line of sandals inspired by the cities of the world.
Caetano is advancing with a debut at Magic Las Vegas, who, according to Pedro Pinto, sales executive, considers “the US to be an important market due to its size and diversity”. “We expect new business opportunities arising from an increasing demand for proximity suppliers and stable and long-term commercial relationships”, adds the sales executive of the brand. J. Caetano will present his range of products in Las Vegas, focused on shirts and blouses.
