MILANO UNICA WELCOMES AN ENTHUSIASTIC PORTUGUESE GROUP

Albano Morgado, Anbievolution, Brito & Miranda, CFM, Fitecom, Le Europe, Lemar, Modelmesh, and TMG | MGL are the companies that make up the FROM PORTUGAL delegation in another edition of Milano Única. The Portuguese Adalberto, Paulo de Oliveira, Penteadora, Riopele, Somelos, and Tessimax will also be present in the Italian city of Milan from the 12th to the 14th of July.

Participating for the second consecutive time in the event, Adalberto considers Milano Unica “an international reference fair with the best European suppliers, which is relevant to increase our business in the Italian market”, defends Tâmara Martins from the marketing and communication department. “We will present our Autumn-Winter 23/24 collection with a new format, with meticulous work regarding our designs. In addition, we will have capsule collections from our innovation department with alternative fibers such as orange, banana, pineapple, and soy and special finishes linked to the senses such as lavender, green tea, and linen. Additionally, we will have a line of drawings created from artificial intelligence”, reveals Tâmara Martins.

With a collection focused on the principles of circularity, LEMAR “as happened in the last edition, works hard to guarantee and expand the quality of the offer. Focused on fabrics it produces from scratch with certified sustainable or recycled fibers”, adds Flávio Dias. With several scheduled meetings, the company is particularly interested in developing contacts with the traditional markets and maintains an interest in expanding the range of buyers from Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and the Maghreb. “These are markets that have been growing exponentially”, concludes the head of the export department.

Anbievolution is equally enthusiastic, as stated by André Andrade from the commercial department. The company wants to expand the international sales area “to countries like the USA, Canada, and South Korea. But also wants to increase the sales volume in markets we are already present, namely France, Italy, Spain, Germany”, he concludes.

The participation of Portuguese SME companies in MILANO UNICA is an initiative of the Selectiva Moda and ATP – Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the fashion area. The “From Portugal” project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, within the scope of Compete 2020 - Operational Program of Competitiveness and Internationalization and Lisbon 2020 – Regional Operational Program of Lisbon, with an eligible support amount of €6,648,794.78, of which €3,735,305.80 € come from the European Union, through the European Development Fund Regional.
