FROM PORTUGAL PRESENTS INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS AT MEDICA DUSSELDORF

Medica Dusseldorf, the most relevant international meeting for the medical community, is scheduled for November 14-17. A delegation of six companies will present the most recent national advances in the health sector, divided by two islands From Portugal, in Hall 6.

ASPECTO, Barcelcom, Inarbel, Oasipor, Pharmia, and Trim NW are the companies that integrate the project, to which CITEVE, Hydrumedical, and Raclac also join. Also at the Compamed fair will be the company Clynxio. Portugal will also have an expressive trends forum, organized in partnership between Associação Selectiva Moda and CITEVE.

“Expectations for the fair are high, as it is the largest showcase in the healthcare sector, a vital sector for our core, graduated compression tubes”, says Nuno Mota Soares, business development manager at Barcelcom. With an annual investment of around 10% of turnover in RDI, the company presents itself with novelties: “with our patented technology of transdermal process of controlled release of active ingredients, the use of different products that can help in the areas of relaxation, anxiety control, and even hydration”. The company will take graduated compression stockings and sleeves for lymphedemas with active ingredients.

With an already consolidated product catalog, from surgical to non-sterile covers, it is also with great expectations that OASIPOR presents itself at Medica. “We have been present at the fair for several years. This year we will focus on increasing the portfolio of international distributors of our MedicalWear brand”, shares José Mauro from the design and communication department.

With an emphasis on a new surgical gown, Trim NW leaves for Dusseldorf with a suitcase full of “non-wovens aimed at the medical area”. “As we are manufacturers of non-woven fabric normally used in the manufacture of PPE, we decided to move forward in the value chain and start manufacturing and marketing the PPE itself”, says Rui Lopes, CEO of Trim NW. The new production concept is fully automated and makes it possible to place a 100% Portuguese product on the market “with very competitive prices compared to what is currently available on the European market”.

Taking part in the fair for the first time, ASPECTO is very curious about what it has in store: “We believe that Medica is a fair with a lot of potential to promote ourselves in European markets”, says Antónia Leite, co-founder, and creative director. The offer will include uniforms with their own design, some with technical fabrics, targeting private clinics.

Pharmia focuses the offer on a new complete range of incontinence: “diapers, pads, moisturizing cream, body wash glove”, lists CEO Pedro Santos. They will also have a range of wet wipes (hands, intimate hygiene, face make-up remover, surfaces). “In addition, we will have the range of FFP2 masks, cotton/swabs, and disinfectant liquids”, adds the official.

Finally, Inarbel, with its young brand Skylab, presents its “line of reusable and disposable hospital clothing: gowns, cuffs, cuffs, boot covers, caps and uniforms”, says Manuela Sena.
