PORTUGAL TAKES A STRONG ENTOURAGE TO A+A DUSSELDORF

ASC Models, A. Sampaio & Filhos, CITEVE, Dune Bleue, Fall Safe, Sancar Premium Socks, Ultra Creative, Unifardas and Walkmore are the companies that make up the FROM PORTUGAL delegation at another edition of the biennial fair A+A, which will be held from October 26th to 29th in Dusseldorf, Germany, together with CITEVE and Endutex. With a strong participation, spread between three islands in a total of almost 300 square meters of exhibition area, Portugal marks its place in the work safety and health areas.

An example is the offer available at the Sancar Premium Socks stand, which returns to this workwear fair for the third time. This is “a magnificent fair where the best brands of technical items in the area of safety are”, considers Manuel Anjo, general manager. Among the novelties to be presented in Dusseldorf, there is a new rest sock that makes the general manager of Sancar Premium Socks “optimistic for the future”, namely in establishing contact with customers in North America, Canada and European markets.

Hopeful for this return to A+A is Ultra Creative, which has no doubts that this is a platform “with enormous projection, especially at a European level”. António Ferreira, the company's CEO, hopes to find “fewer participants, but effectively more interested” in doing business. “We don't have anyone booked with the exception of our current customers. We know that several Dutch buyers will attend the fair”, he says.

Participating in the German workwear fair with its own stand, with the support of FROM PORTUGAL, is Fall Safe. “Participate in the A+A Düsseldorf is a unique opportunity to present our products as an innovative solution for working at height, and thus attracting new customers and continuing to captivate the existing ones. Networking is another asset to be taken from this international fair, which helps us to exchange information for continuous improvement of our products and services”, considers Paula Ekman, CEO of the company, who, among other news, will present a stretcher approved by Infarmed.

Loaded with novelties, at A + A Unifardas will present HISI, a sustainable collection with models aimed at healthcare professionals. Another novelty, reveals Bruno Azevedo, is the “lab coat, apron and kitchen pants for the restaurants of the Rui Paula Group, which respects the entire concept of sustainability”. Reducing waste to zero will also be highlighted at the stand of the Portuguese company that specializes in uniforms, and which will present the ECO700: “one item encompasses two pieces - jacket and waterproof pants - developed under the concept of zero waste”, explains Bruno Azevedo.

Participating in the tradeshow since 2011, A. Sampaio & Filhos returns to A + A with the goal of getting in touch with its customers. “This is a type of market that requires a lot of trust between partners, so the regular presence helps create lasting connections, in which face-to-face contact is essential. Given the high technicality of the products, it is very important to have the opportunity to meet with customers to explain the products in due detail”, defends Teresa Silva. Among the novelties to be presented by A. Sampaio & Filhos, the highlight is the protective meshes: “FR blends with merino wool, FR meshes certified for electric arc with the possibility of industrial washing, multistandard meshes including Softhsell FR and others”, she concludes.

CITEVE will also mark its presence in another edition of A+A, with “a showcase of textile equipment dedicated to individual protection. CITEVE Certification is an Organization that dedicates part of its activity to the certification of products under the CE marking, so this is the ideal place to boost your business”, explains Paulo Sarrico who, despite considering A+A as a global fair, does not hide the special interest in the European market.

The participation of Portuguese SME companies in A+A Dusseldorf is framed by the From Portugal project, an initiative of Selectiva Moda and ATP - Textile and Clothing Association of Portugal, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the fashion area. The “From Portugal” project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, within the scope of Compete 2020 - Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization, with an eligible support amount of € 11,042,311.82, of which € 6,065,501.91 comes from the European Union, through the European Regional Development Fund.
