BLOOMATI DEBUTS NEW HI-TECH FINISHES AT ISPO

A stand full of customers will not happen this year, but the Portuguese company Bloomati maintains its commitment to ISPO Munich, and promises novelties for this year's edition, which will take place online between February 1st and 5th. The company, specialized in knitwear, will present a new catalogue of textile finishes, driven towards sportswear and various fashion sectors.

“We have several finishes related to sport, such as water repellent, antibacterial, UV protection and temperature regulator, among others”, explains Alice Sampaio, marketing manager for the Bloomati brand, property of Carvema Têxtil. A regular at ISPO since 2019, the company has made the sport sector one of its priorities, and it’s now expanding its range of solutions for this market.

In a catalogue that counts with more than 20 fabric finishes, Alice Sampaio highlights the two most recent novelties: Floral Essence and Slim Care. “There are two sustainable finishes with different functions. The first incorporates a floral aroma into the meshes, through microcapsules, which gradually release the smell. The second uses a similar technique, but with substances that promote skin care and well-being, and help fight cellulite”, she adds.

Sustainability is another one of Bloomati’s pillars, which will be highlighted at ISPO Munich online. In addition to the new finishes, certified according to Oeko-Tex parameters, the company takes a selection of fabrics made from raw materials with less environmental impact. “We work a lot with ecological materials, like bamboo or organic cotton, for example, and our goal is to reach more eco-conscious brands and designers, who value these products”, summarizes Alice Sampaio.

The participation of Portuguese SME companies in ISPO Munich Online is framed by the From Portugal project, an initiative of Selectiva Moda and ATP - Textile and Clothing Association of Portugal, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the fashion area. The “From Portugal” project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, within the scope of Compete 2020 - Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization.
