GREEN CIRCLE PRESENTS VIRTUAL TOUR AT ISPO MUNICH

The Green Circle sustainable fashion platform is preparing a new format – fully adapted to the new circumstances –, in order to continue presenting the ecological innovations of the Portuguese textile and clothing industry in the main international competitions. We are talking about a digital tour, filmed with 360º cameras, which will allow visitors to maintain the experience of a face-to-face visit, even from a distance.

The innovation will appear first at ISPO Digital, from February 1st to 5th, with the showcase “Responsible Athleisure From Portugal”, which brings together 11 Portuguese companies and their examples of sports and sustainable fashion.

“The showcase will be set up at CITEVE, where it will be filmed, and then it will be uploaded into ISPO’s digital platform. Visitors will be able to enter it as if they were in the room: they can walk in between pieces, look closer and read the information about each one”, explains Paulo Gomes, responsible for the Manifesto Moda platform, and curator of the Green Circle showcase.

Altogether, 11 outfits will be presented in this virtual showcase that will be exhibited at ISPO, the largest and most relevant fashion and sports equipment trade show in Europe, which this year will be happening in digital format only. Adalberto, A. Sampaio, Polopiqué, NGS, Joaps, Bergand by Gulbena, Ditchil, LMA, Impetus, Tapa Costuras and Bloomati are the textile companies that will integrate this digital version of Green Circle.

The materials provided by the textile companies were given to a group of young designers, and each one produced a coordinate that balances fashion, sustainability and performance for sports. “Above all, we are talking about athleisure, that is, the practice of exercise as a form of leisure, and not exactly as a competitive sport. The pieces are more casual, more comfortable, pieces that we all can use, especially at a time like this, of confinement”, highlights Paulo Gomes.

This will be the second participation of the Green Circle at ISPO. Last year, the showcase presented a selection of coordinates dedicated to sports fashion. The platform, which results from the collaboration between CITEVE and Associação Selectiva Moda, has over the past two years covered the main European trade shows, as a way of showing the sustainability commitment of the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Industry in fashion’s various areas. In addition to ISPO Munich, Première Vision Paris, Neonyt Berlin, Momad Madrid and MODTISSIMO Portugal are also part of the Green Circle attendance plan.

The participation of Portuguese companies in ISPO Digital is an initiative of Selectiva Moda and ATP - Textile and Clothing Association of Portugal, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the fashion area. The “From Portugal” project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, within the scope of Compete 2020 - Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization.
