FROM PORTUGAL DEBUTS AT CIFF

The entourage From Portugal led by Selectiva Moda, is present for the first time at the CIFF fair, which runs from 9 to 11 August in Copenhagen. The Portuguese companies leave for the Danish capital with good expectations and good arguments to conquer the Nordic market, showing why the made-in Portugal is synonymous of quality!

Portugal will be represented in two areas of the event, CIFF and CIFF Kids. Blake - Misci - Miel à Moi - RAP - are the 4 companies that integrate this action carried out by Associação Selectiva Moda.

At CIFF, the fashion of the lady made-in Portugal will be Misci, which presents its collection for spring / summer 2018. The blouses and dresses will be the protagonists of the season, however will also be on display the collection Never Out Of Stock, with a line of white blouses and dresses. "Our products and the philosophy of our brand " fit " well in this market, so it can be one of the top 3 markets of the brand in the next 2/3 years. After our analysis, we have great expectations, we hope to get some customers, selected boutiques and it would be great to get an agent / showroom that represents us locally ", says brand manager Izilda Gracia.

The CIFF Kids, held at Forum Copenhagen, has 3 Portuguese brands: Blake - Miel à Moi - RAP.

"Try (other) Angle Collection" is Blake's inspiration for spring / summer 2018, which will be presented at the fair. A collection that excels by irreverence and where it is using a unique pattern in the world, designed by the brand. "We intend to take the first step in entering the Nordic market. It is a market that is particularly interested in its cross-sectional features in what is fashioned for children. We want to create business links that allow us to create a business network for the future in the Nordic market. It is a very strong fair in our segment because Blake is a unisex clothing brand, we believe it is a market already prepared and receptive to the appearance of new brands with different concepts", explains Mariana Santiago.

The highlights of Miel à Moi range from the most basic baby items to the most elaborate children's dresses. They will present models with GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certificates for premature, baby and child «allied to prints with very particular motifs and a more fashionable concept». For the Portuguese brand the presence in this market is fundamental "this is a very important market for us as a new brand and in view of the reach of the Nordic markets. We expect to find agents / distributors for the Nordic markets and we believe that CIFF is the best platform to do it ", explains Ana Luísa Lopes, a brand manager.

There will also be another Portuguese company: Averse (CIFF)

The participation of these four Portuguese companies in CIFF is an action of From Portugal 2017, an initiative promoted by Selectiva Moda and the ATP - Textile and Clothing Association of Portugal, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese fashion companies.
