PORTUGAL PRESENTS DESIGN MADE IN EUROPE

For those seeking creative, innovative apparel, with high ethical and ecologic standards and top quality, Portugal is the right country. Meet the extraordinary novelties of the Portuguese Custoitex, Fiorima, Inarbel, Katty Xiomara and Orfama in this Magic edition.

Portuguese companies have everything that the most demanding clients may want. Proven quality, notorious know-how, infallible delivery times and irreprehensible design are part of the add value of Portuguese fashion, that you can discover here in Las Vegas.
Custoitex, through its brand Collove, shows its shape wear collection of collants and lingerie seamless, where fashion and an innovative character make every detail distinctive.
At Fiorima you find an original sock’s collection for Spring/Summer 2012 with themes like tribal, navy and travelling, made of ecologic materials like bamboo and recycled cotton. «Wherever there is a market that values quality and differentiation based on add value materials, design and innovation for the sock consumer, Fiorima is there. It was based on these principles that Fiorima has imposed itself in the European market, where it has been working in partnership with the best brands in the fashion world», says Paulo Rodrigues, industrial manager of Fiorima, that also promises a surprise in this second participation at Magic: «innovation at Fiorima is a constant process and, therefore, we will have an impact presentation of a revolutionary product».
Inarbel, on its side, reveals the new collection of its brand DreamBrothers. Besides its own brands, the company also works in private label for major international brands, exporting 80% of its production for the European market. «We are at Magic promoting our brand DreamBrothers and also the company, to present our services in private label», states José Armindo Ferraz, Inarbel’s administrator.
Katty Xiomara, a well known Portuguese designer, shows in this new collection for Summer 2012 «a concept composed by warm colors and textures inspired in butterflies», as the designer unveils.
At Orfama, fashion is also in the spotlight, as well as the quality of the selected materials: silk, cashmere and linen, this last one «a major trend for the next hot season», reveals António Cunha, Orfama’s sales area manager. Besides the innovative construction of the knits, Orfama also invested in «extra comfort, as well as in the eco-friendly concept, with pieces in organic cotton», concludes António Cunha.
The participation of these Portuguese companies at Magic is an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda, with the support of EU funds (Qren), inserted in the project From Portugal. Associação Selectiva Moda is an entity that promotes the internationalization of the Portuguese companies and for 2011 has a 61 international actions program in 26 different markets, directed to yarn, fabrics and accessories, fashion, home textiles and decoration and technical textiles, with an investment of 7.43 million Euros.
