PORTUGUESE STYLE SHOWS IN LITHUANIA

Confecções Jorge Pereira, Custoitex, Katty Xiomara, Júlio Torcato and Núcleo Oporto Fashion are at Baltic Textile&Leather, from October 14th to 16th, to show the new collections for next seasons, where jeans, collants and designer fashion are going to be on the spotlight.

The Portuguese companies are at this trade fair in Vilnius, in Lithuania, integrated in na initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda in the support of EU funds (Qren).

In an absolute debut at Baltic Textile&Leather, Custoitex presents its Winter collection of tights, where fantasies play the main part, on the thinner as well as on the opaque, and also lingerie, with a variety of products with details of transfers and machine graphics. According to the marketing director of the company, Mónica Morais, the company is also going to show «a second skin collection, composed by t-shirts and horse ridding leggings in microfiber, and articles in biologic cotton».

Núcleo Oporto Fashion, on its side, repeats, for the second time, its presence in Vilnius. «This trade fair covers a kind of market that, though it’s not too big, it is an interesting market for us», says José Carlos, commercial manager of the company, adding that «we have the expectation of doing some contacts and enlarge other markets. In our last edition we establish some contacts that we hope to cement now with our second presence at Baltic Textile&Leather». In this exhibition, Núcleo Oporto Fashion shows its Spring/Summer 2011 collection, where jeans are on the spotlight.

The participation of the Portuguese companies at Baltic Textile&Leather is part of a wide programme of overseas actions that Associação Selectiva Moda, an organization held by ATP - Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal and ANIL - Associação Nacional dos Indústrias de Lanifícios, is promoting during 2010 to help the fashion’s Portuguese companies in its internationalization process. The project includes 49 actions in five continents. Besides Baltic Textile&Leather, the Portuguese companies integrating the project From Portugal were already at Bread&Butter Berlin, in Germany, at Styl, in Czech Republic, and at Magic Las Vegas, in the USA.
